target audience- to make a group of people want to want something
message- a way to communicate with other people
work ethic- value of how you work
employability skills- to be able to do what is expected at a job or school
20/20 rule- look 20 feet away for 20 seconds
right to know law-your right to know how dangerous your work place is and your ability to know everything about it
icon- a picture that shows what its trying to show from a picture
vector-based graphics-
specification of a project- where you work hard to achieve your specific goal
dialog box- is a small space where you can provide information
palette- a place where you put your color and you can use it as a mixing tray
guidelines, extensions, contextual menu, clipping mask
guideline- the guidelines help you make straight lines without it making a mistake
extensions- the extent of your lines or shapes
contextual menu- a way to go faster without using all that time
clipping mask- a tool you can use in illustrator to "cut" something without cutting the picture
hue- a tint color
primary color- color consist of red yellow or blue
secondary colors- mixing primary colors to get orange green and purple
tertiary color - 2 secondary color mixed to get a brown
neutral colors-color or shade not hue
continuous tone images-when every color relates to a tone
resolution- the act to solve
file size-how much room is taken up in a file or your hard drive
flush left-type lines are alined to the left
flush right-type lines alined to the right
centered-is very formal and everything is in the middle
justfied-fillup enter text box
lining- about the same height
nonlining- doen't line up
leading-derermind by point sizing
margin- the white space where you should put important things
kerning-adjusting the space in between individual characters
tracking-allows you to adjust the paragraph character space

initial cap- larger decorative capital letters at the beginning of text of paragraph
